The Assyrian American Police Association mourns the heartbreaking loss of one of our own, Officer Miriam Tammo, one of CPD’s finest, whose End of Watch was May 10, 2026. Her passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, fellow officers, friends, and the communities she faithfully served with unwavering dedication.
Officer Miriam Tammo exemplified the true meaning of public service. Throughout her career, she carried herself with courage, honor, integrity, and compassion, earning the respect and admiration of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Whether responding to calls for help, supporting her fellow officers, or comforting members of the community during difficult moments, Miriam served with a selfless spirit and a genuine commitment to protecting others.
Beyond the uniform, Miriam was known for her kindness, humility, and strength of character. She inspired those around her through her professionalism, determination, and deep sense of duty. Her legacy will forever remain a shining example of service and sacrifice, reminding us all of the bravery displayed daily by law enforcement officers who dedicate their lives to safeguarding others.
